Compare wired and wireless connections
If only one website is slow, replacing the router may change nothing. Try several familiar services and an internal application. Repeat the same task on the same computer over a cable with Wi-Fi disabled. This narrows the investigation but does not by itself prove the cause.
Record the time, room, device and symptom: slow transfer, dropped call, lost connection or delayed file access. Repeat testing during the period when problems occur. One test in an empty office does not represent the working load.
Coverage and capacity are different requirements
A strong-signal icon does not show whether an access point has enough capacity for all clients. A meeting room full of laptops can need a different arrangement from an equally sized corridor. Planning requires floor layouts, wall materials, busy areas and device types.
Do not determine access-point quantity solely from the advertised coverage area. Nearby networks, radio conditions and installation position affect the result. Adding a point without tuning may increase interference. Validate placement and channels with measurements and repeat the survey after installation.
Check cabling and access-point power
Wi-Fi depends on the wired network: access points need switch connections, power and adequate uplink capacity. With PoE, check compatible standards and the switch's total power budget, not merely the presence of a PoE label.
Document ports and label both ends of cables. Discuss guest networking and access to internal resources separately. Different network names do not prove isolation; verify the rules and try accessing internal resources from a guest device.
Accept Wi-Fi using real working scenarios
Agree test locations such as meeting rooms, distant offices and reception. Make a call, open the required application and test under normal occupancy. If users move while calling, include movement between coverage areas in acceptance.
Keep a network diagram, configuration backup and fault-reporting procedure. For an office survey in Dushanbe, provide a floor plan, employee count, troublesome areas and an equipment list. Do not submit passwords through a public enquiry form.
